Memories
Back in April it came to my knowledge that a very dear friend of mine had passed away. She left me a small brown box and a letter which begun with the words “Please look after my memories”. The most precious thing was her wedding ring.
My first thought was to use the ring as mine, to honor her and to remember her. It fits my finger perfectly, too. But as time has passed I’ve...

Hush
I belong nowhere My dearest friend is my loneliness and the silence in this dark night Such solitude All my dreams slowly moving on the walls like shadows and the candles burn so faintly like ghosts of a past long silenced

First BBC television weatherman George Cowling... →
In his biography for the BBC Weather website, he recalled a studio visit by Princess Margaret.
Mr Cowling warned her he had “bad news” for viewers, with frost forecast.
The princess said: “That’s good news - I love the cold weather.”
Stumped for something to say, the weatherman eventually replied: “Perhaps ma’am, you don’t suffer from frozen pipes like the rest of us.”

Happy Birthday!
I love you more than anything.♥
This has been an interesting day
The day started with me knee deep in snow trying to dig my mother’s car out. I also got snow down my neck thanks to a friendly tree. Snow sure is pretty but this is starting to be a little too much! And we’re getting even more. Did I mention how cold it is? It’s cold.

Sugarfree: Day 5
So, a friend of mine was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes not long ago. Five days ago I decided to give up sugar for my health and to support my friend. I used to drink soda a lot and eat candy and pastries like crazy, so this has not been easy! I’ve replaced all the sugary things with fruit and I can eat three apples in one sitting. Oh well.
I plan on doing this till Christmas, and then go...

Family business
My brother wants to start his own company and he asked me to come up with ideas on what we could do (I know, I know, it should be the other way around). I was talking with my parents today and my mother was complaining that her glasses feel uncomfortable. So I suggested she’d get a hat that holds the glasses and realized I could start making eyeglasses for earless people.
Mum: I don’t...
Thanks for following me, hugesuccess. I hope you’re having a great week!
It's kind of strange
Sometimes I write down the most personal things, my deepest thoughts and my fears. The very next day I regret it and remove the entry and hope nobody read it. Then I don’t write anything personal for weeks. I think I just need to get it all out once and then erase it. I guess it’s somehow therapeutic.
My shrink says I should start painting again, just make myself do it even if I...
Reflections on a Mote of Dust
Reflections on a Mote of Dust by Carl Sagan (1934-1996)
We succeeded in taking that picture [from deep space], and, if you look at it, you see a dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever lived, lived out their lives. The aggregate of all our joys and sufferings, thousands of confident religions, ideologies and economic doctrines,...
Money money money
I rented a table at a second hand shop for a week. Today was the last day so I went to get all the remaining items and my money. I ended up getting €270 ($398). I can’t believe it! I only need about €100 more and I can afford a new laptop. Woo!

Le sigh
I rented a table in a second hand shop and started selling my old stuff on Monday. Today I went to clean up the table and noticed one of the most expensive items was missing. I went to the counter and asked for my table’s information so I could check if somebody bought it. Nobody did. I went to the place where they bring items with no price tag on them. It wasn’t there. I walked around...
